  1. I am a US citizen and my husband is a dual US/Philippine citizen. Can we apply for the 13A visa? Currently and sometimes we travel as balikbayans but if I travel alone then it does not apply. Please advise and thank you.

Hi Maria, as your husband is a dual citizen, yes, you can apply for a 13a. If you are both outside the US, then you can apply for the 13a at the Philippines consulate in your home country and you only have to go through the process once.

If you are both in the Philippines, then you must first apply for a temporary 13a, then after one year apply for a permanent 13a, so you go through the process twice.

Let us know if you have any questions. Cheers, Marco
